This easy to make lip balm will have your lips feeling tingly and warm and bringing out their natural rosy tint! It’s the perfect in-between solution of lip chap and lip stick.

This recipe takes only 10 minutes to prep, which is perfect for all of us on a time budget.

Making your own lip balm is a little bit more money upfront, but you can make a lot more batches and customize each one to your specific preferences.  Since you are buying in bulk, in the end you get a lot more bang for your buck. Which is awesome because a budget is a budget. But a budget doesn’t mean you can’t give amazing and thoughtful gifts to your friends or treat yo-self!

A lot of beauty companies intentionally don’t disclose what’s in their products- scents, colorants, preservatives, etc because they are terrible and toxic for you. That’s why you can have total peace of mind making your own!

This lip chap is is naturally bursting with warming botanicals that increase vitality to your lips while also nourishing them. It gets the juices flowing to deliver a playful, rosy hue where you want it most.

These also make wonderful gifts for family and friends. I’ve gifted these to tons of people and everyone loves them, I have even had requests for seconds!

DIY Blushing Lip Balm By Healthfully Whole

This recipe will make about 8 tubes. If you plan to put it in little jars, that would completely depend on the size of the jars!

  1. In a saucepan bring about a pint (16 ounces) of water to simmer over medium heat. Place an oven safe bowl over the saucepan, making it a double boiler. (or just use a double boiler if you have one!)
  2. Add in the beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, and almond oil to the bowl and heat until the beeswax melts, stirring every so often.
  3. When everything is melted remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the honey and essential oils.
  4. Pour the lip balm into tubes or tins.
  5. Let it cool before using!
