This quick and easy organic home-made soap is perfect for beginners with all natural and organic ingredients that not only will cleanse your skin but also leave your skin feeling soft and nourished! Who could ask for more!

This recipe takes only 10 minutes to prep, which is perfect for all of us on a time budget. It’s also budget friendly.

Making your own soap is a little bit more upfront, but you can make a lot more batches and customize each one to your specific preferences.  Since you are buying in bulk, in the end you get a lot more bang for your buck. Which is awesome because a budget is a budget. But a budget doesn’t mean you can’t give amazing and thoughtful gifts to your friends.

A lot of soap companies intentionally don’t disclose what’s in their products- scents, colorants, preservatives, etc because they are terrible and toxic for you. That’s why you can have total peace of mind making your own!

These also make wonderful gifts for family and friends. If you know someone’s specific scent preferences you could handmake them the soap of their dreams! How thoughtful.

Okay, but truly the best part about this is it takes 5 minutes or less to make. Let’s get into it!

Why Lavender?

Lavender is the bees knees, and it’s essential oil is kind of a jack of all trades. Here are just some of it’s many benefits: Anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-septic, and anti-bacterial. Source.

What does that ultimately boil down to?

Well, things like nourished skin- especially if you have inflammatory skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, or just plain ol’ dry skin.

Clean hands from it’s anti-everything qualities listed above.

Reduction in stress and anxiety. Source.

This is just to name a few. All this to say, it’s a great ingredient in your handmade soap!

There are so many benefits to rose oil! These include helping skin heal from scars and moisturizing it, fighting inflammation, relieving stress and promoting circulation. As well as smelling fantastic.

The ultimate essential oil for relaxation and nourishment. It’s adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory which makes it a great addition to this soap!

Honey truly is natures miracle. It moisturizes, nourishes, hydrates, as well as being an amazing anti-bacterial agent as well as lavender. It can also be a gentle exfoliating agent that has some light-anti ageing properties and will help brighten the skin.

Goatmilk is a fantastic base for any soap because of it’s nourishing properties it provides. Goatmilk contains many vitamins, minerals and is great for sensitive and dry skin! This makes it so universal both as a gift or for use in your own home.

    Vitamin E Oil (Optional)

This ingredient is option but is a great one to add in because of it’s ability to neutralize free radicals while also moisturizing and nourishing the skin.

    Jojoba Beads (Optional)

These jojoba beads gently exfoliate your skin while also adding a lil’ bit of pizazz to your soaps!

This can add visual interest if you go for a designed soap mold, or you can go for a plain rectangular one. There’s no rule with this! Have fun with it. If you are giving a gift to a family member or friend who loves Star Wars, or you yourself love Star Wars, get some super fun molds and give a super unique and adorable gift. The possibilities are endless. I recommend looking at amazon and Etsy if you are going for something more niche!

    How To Make:

    1. Cut the soap base– cut the goats milk soap base into small chunks and place them in a microwave-safe dish.
    2. Melt the soap– melt the soap in the microwave by microwaving in 30 second intervals until the soap is liquid. Stair in-between each of the 30 second intervals. The soap can be hot so be careful!
    3. Add the rest of the ingredients– add in the vitamin E oil, honey, and essential oils and whisk. Whisk until everything looks well combined.
    4. Pour the Lavender Rose soap– Spritz the mold with high-proof alcohol, or water and some witch hazel will do. Sprinkle the bottom with the jojoba beads. All this does is dissolve the jojoba beads a little and helps it adhere to the mold a little better!  Slowly pour the soap into the mold. Spray the top of each bar of soap with alcohol to dissolve the bubbles. Add more jojoba beads to the top if you want!
    5. Chill the soap– place in the fridge for around 30 minutes or until the soap feels hard to the touch.
    6. Take out of the molds– remove carefully from the molds. Feel free to take a peeler and peel away any roughness for the desired look. You can keep them for yourself or if you are giving as gifts you can have a fun time decorating them. Wrap them in some craft paper and use these adorable FREE printable labels below to add the final touches! Enjoy!
